Offerings and Souvenir Shop

Near the Basilica San Nicola, in Piazza San Nicola, there is an operating offering and souvenir shop where you can also purchase religious objects.
A lot of the Sanctuary’s life runs around the Shop: you can subscribe the Opera del Patrocinio, or periodicals such as the Bollettino San Nicola or O Odigos; there are requests of economic and moral support for poor people or in need, requests of blessings (for people or things); reservations for weddings, 25th or 50th anniversaries, reservations for Masses, group visits, oecumenical celebrations, concerts, other events, ecc. Pilgrims and devoted people, after meeting the Saint on his grave, pass and leave offerings, vows, pick up “Santa Manna” or blessed oil bottles, buy pubblications of the Centro Studi Nicolaiani, books of prayers, images, paintings, pendants, foulards, commemorative medals, statues, crosses.
You can find all the information on the Basilica’s activities, it’s the reference point for any kind of information.
Visitators and tourists stop by for post cards and souvenirs.
In 2004 the Shop was restructured by the Feste Patronali  "San Nicola” di Bari Comittee and dedicated to Fr. Egidio Aufiero O.P., domenican cooperator which dedicated many years of his life, until his death in december 2003, to it’s development, accepting everyone with respect and making himself available for pilgims and devoted people, especially orthodox.

We are studying a project for the enlargement of the Offering Parlour, considering the more and more pilgrims from East Europe and the evolution of Tourism in Puglia in the last years.
